Julia Roberts is a Hindu and Against Plastic Surgery...

According to the Telgraph, Julia Roberts has said she is a Hindu.  Awesome.  We respect every person's right to worship, or not worship, in any way they feel is right.  Frankly, however, I don't think that is actually "news" worthy.  I believe religious beliefs are personal and a person or celebrity should neither be praised or condemned for which ever religion they choose (or don't choose).

What I did love about this article was Julia's comments on plastic surgery.  She made some terrific points about society's view on women aging, but my favorite quote was: “I want my kids to know when I'm pissed, when I'm happy, and when I'm confounded. Your face tells a story ... and it shouldn't be a story about your drive to the doctor's office."

Well said by a beautiful woman!  I want to know what she looks like older too.  As beautiful and graceful as today I'm sure!

We support Ginger for World President!

The Unscoop was thoroughly entertained by Gingersnaps In The Morning today.  So much so that, while we do not usually align ourselves politically with any particular party or candidate, we fully support Ginger in her quest for world domination.

Public Shaming

The News:
According to TIME NewsFeed, the North Korean Soccer (Football) Team was forced to stand in public for six hours while being shamed and berated.  They were forced to blame the World Cup Losses on their coach, who has been forced out of the Workers' Party of Korea to become a builder.  Apparently this is all actually GOOD NEWS, because they COULD have been sent to prison camps.

The UnScoop:
I wanted my first UnScoop post to be snarky and silly, but the thought of the fear these guys must have been going through on their ride home took the snark right out of me. Well, mostly.

The UnScoop here is, in America our losing teams are subjected to public shaming, we just call it News Media and Internet. Coaches lose their jobs, but they usually have something a little more cushy to fall back on than building. However, we don't send our athletes to prison camps for losing...heck, we don't even send them to prison for breaking the law!

The UnScoop Begins!

What, you may ask, is The UnScoop
First let me give you the definition of SCOOP (as taken from Dictionary.com).  Well PART of the definition, the part that has anything to do with anything right now...

scoop [skoop]  –noun

18.to get the better of (other publications, newscasters, etc.) by obtaining and publishing or broadcasting a news item, report, or story first: They scooped all the other dailies with the story of the election fraud.

The UnScoop won't give you new amazing facts about news.  Rather it will give you rants and opinions, and they will probably be narrow, or out dated.  We don't keep up with the news very closely...just like to rant when something rubs us the wrong way.
